Why not Do It Yourself? Wooden Earrings with Long Chain Tassels

I am obsessed with bohemian style recently. I bought a boho necklace in Primark and I loved it so much! It's easy to match ( it goes with every outfit basically!), stylish yet very cheap - just £5! You can hardly find this kind of sophisticated necklace at this low price in high street stores. At this price the quality is pretty good - at least it won't make the back your neck turn green or colour fade away.

Buying accessories can be pricey really, so why not do it yourself?

You could probably get the tools and materials online from eBay or Etsy at a very reasonable price. Alternatively, car boot sale is an amazing place to find hidden gems, you could haggle and bargain for a relatively low price.

Here, I am going to share with you how to make a simple yet a statement jewellery for this summer ( I am not a jewellery making profession so please bear with my skill)!

Wooden Earrings With Long Chain Tassels

Tools:
  • chain nose pliers
  • wire cutters

Materials:
  • wooden pendant x2
  • chains
  • jump rings x2
  • eyepins x8
  • pearl beads x8
  • ear hooks x2

1. Cut the chains into desire length using the wire cutters ( I cut 8 shorter chain tassels for the side and 8 longer chain tassels for the middle)

2. Link the eye pins to wooden pendant using chain nose pliers and slide a pearl beads into the eyepins

3. Slide 2 shorter chain tassels into the eyepins ( you can add more chain tassels for a more chunky style), wrap 1-2 times to secure the end and trim off excess wire

4. Repeat - Link the eye pins to wooden pendant, slide a pearl beads into the eyepins then slide 2 longer chain tassels into the eyepins, wrap 1-2 times to secure the end and trim off excess wire

5. After finishing the tassels, link the ear hooks to the jump rings and the wooden pendants.

6. Repeat for the other one to finish a pair.

Now you can wear them with a boho maxi dress or a off shoulder top with a pair of jeans!
